In May of 2019, founders Kana Togashi and Tetsuji Nakatomi decided to open their second location at Essex Market, guided by a belief in bringing unconventional, daring flowers to the surrounding community in a manner rooted in personal connection.
As the project of a New Yorker raised and grew up in Fort Greene, Saffron is a space that brings both old and new community together.
