Café d’Avignon
Channeling old world traditions in their baking techniques, four childhood friends founded Pain D’Avignon in 1992 after coming to Massachusetts from the former Yugoslavia.
In 2010, two of the original founders, Uliks Fehmiu and Bane Stamenkovic, along with their friend Tole Zurovac, moved to New York City, opening the flagship retail location, Café D'Avignon, at Essex Market.
