Friends since they were kids, Cedric Hernandez and Charles De La Cruz had dreams of becoming fruit vendors on the Lower East Side. Charles had an early start in the hospitality business, working his way up to head management at Katz’s Delicatessen. Cedric, on the other hand, became passionate about healthy eating through his love of running and the running community.

Essex Squeeze is a playful twist on their childhood entrepreneurial dream. They aim to provide healthy options for the people in the neighborhood at an affordable price with their refreshing smoothies, juices, and toasts.
